I am honoured to be showcased in the Featured Artisan Exhibition at Tilligerry Art Gallery and am very happy to share it with my dear friend Leonie Tidey, a very talented papercraft creator of beautiful cards and crochet items.
From a young age I have enjoyed being creative. My Mum and Grandma taught me how to crochet as a young girl, when I was 7 years old. I used to crochet dolls clothes for my sisters and their friends and then later as an adult, crocheting for my children and grandchildren, and friends.
After I stopped working, I had more free time to start crocheting a lot more, and since joining the TAG gallery, it truly has become my passion and a way of relaxation. I really enjoy crocheting and being creative again, especially seeing the smiles on those I make things for, especially when it is a special request and they see it come to life.
Over the years I have built on my skills and widened my crochet horizons and projects, learning new techniques and stitches, and becoming more confident in trying new things. I braved the internet and started watching YouTube tutorials, following new patterns and even making up my own designs and patterns.
It is a hobby that has grown into so much more. I love sharing that with others and love all the new friendships it has brought with it.

After many years of papercrafting this is my first Featured Artisan exhibition at TAG .
Something I have been wanting to do is to create some special "Tags for TAG" so here they are…along with specialty cards and some crocheted items.
I am very happy to be sharing with fellow artisan Angela Prochowski's colourful crocheted work.
Previous experience includes teaching creative calligraphy, attending card classes, scrapbooking workshops and assisting with various card groups.
I have had a variety of commissions for tags, bookmarks, boxes, mini albums and cards for weddings, anniversaries and milestones right up to 100th birthdays.
Through my interest in learning new ideas and techniques, many friendships have been made. The hobbies take over at times but there are always new projects to create, often with unusual items.
I teach Papercraft at the Gallery, these mornings have resumed on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 10am to 12.30 pm.
It is a small but enthusiastic group who are learning about the wonderful world of papercrafts. We welcome beginners and experienced crafters.
