Daad was born and educated in Lebanon and attended University in Damascus.
Following her marriage to Frenchman Jean-Paul Ruellé they lived first in United Arab Emirates then Martinique and Belgium as Jean-Paul pursued his career as an Hotelier.
Their cosmopolitan life included journeys to further parts of the world including the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean coming across various art cultures, thus enhancing Daad’s global art experiences.
Daad was always interested in art in any form but silk painting was her first hands on piece of art; when she moved to Port Stephens she attended full time studies in ceramics, art & design at the Hunter School of Art in Newcastle, and since participated in many group exhibitions.
Nature is the source of her inspiration, this is reflected in her work, and she produces lovely colourful pieces, from the ocean to the forest, birds and butterflies.
Daad believes that in art every day is a journey for learning.
