I’m a self-taught artist and have a passion for painting the
beauty that surrounds me in scenery and wildlife.
My wildlife paintings are usually in acrylics so that I can get as much detail and personality into the animal or bird as possible.
I like being able to capture their playfulness in my work.
With scenery I use oil. I find using oil, I’m able to get a softness and add light touches to the landscape, an effect that I couldn’t achieve with acrylics.
In the past I’ve painted miniature houses and used watercolour and ink. These were fun to do, but my passion definitely lies with my more recent pieces of scenes and animals and birds.
